Terms of use & service

These terms apply to every project with OC Designs Online (“we”, “us”), a family-owned design studio in New Jersey working on Eastern time. Paying a deposit or invoice means you accept them. Questions? Call (609) 675-0912 or email frannie@ocdesignsonline.com.

1. Quotes, deposits and payment

• Every project starts with a written, fixed quote.
• Projects of $400 or less are paid in full before work starts. If you cancel, we refund the payment minus the hours already worked.
• Projects over $400 start with a 50% deposit, which is non-refundable once work has begun.
• The balance is due at final approval, before installation.
• Rush delivery is available for an extra fee, agreed in advance.

2. Revisions

• Store, template and website projects include up to two layout concepts and four revision rounds.
• Logos include three concepts and two revision rounds. Social media and newsletter designs include one concept and two revision rounds.
• Extra revision rounds, and changes requested after final approval, are billed at our hourly rate.
• After installation you have 14 days to test your design, with free text and link fixes during that time.

3. Timelines

Timelines are estimates, not guarantees, and depend on how quickly we receive your questionnaire, content, feedback and logins:

• First mock-up: about 5–7 business days after we receive your completed questionnaire.
• Each revision: 3–5 business days.
• Installation: 7–10 business days after final payment and working logins.

4. Ownership

• You own your logo, your product images and your text.
• We keep the copyright on the design layout and code we create. You may use it for the store, seller ID or website it was made for; you may not resell or reuse it elsewhere.
• We never resell your custom design to anyone else.
• Final logo files are delivered to you. Working design files (such as layered PSDs) are not included unless agreed in your quote.
• Template add-ons are licensed to one eBay seller ID or one website.
• We may show finished work in our portfolio. Tell us if you would rather we didn’t.

5. Design credit

Designs include a small “designed by OC Designs Online” credit link. If you would like it removed, a removal fee applies (from $150).

6. eBay rules and listing tools

• Our eBay templates are built in HTML and CSS without active content, to follow eBay’s listing policies at the time of delivery. eBay can change its rules; updates needed because of later eBay changes are quoted separately.
• We install and test with your listing tool. We are not responsible for the tool itself, for your store management or for the content of your listings.

7. Hosting

Graphics in eBay templates must be hosted on a secure server. eBay design packages include setup on our hosting; ongoing hosting is billed monthly or yearly. If hosting ends, the images in your template stop loading — we will send you the files on request.

8. SEO and results

We include basic SEO: compressed images, alt and title text, and clean, valid code. Results such as sales or rankings depend on many things outside our control, so they are never guaranteed.

9. Backups and support

• We keep backups of your finished design for five years.
• Training and work outside the agreed scope are billed hourly.
• Support is available Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm Eastern.

10. Liability

Our total liability for any project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project. We are not liable for lost sales, lost data or other indirect losses, or for outages and changes by eBay, Shopify, BigCommerce, hosts or other third parties.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force when you paid your deposit applies to your project.
