The Microsoft Store on eBay
Microsoft trusted us with an SEO-driven, mobile-responsive eBay storefront for Surface, Xbox, Windows PCs and accessories, branded to the pixel and built to sell.
See the Microsoft project
Automotive and powersports eBay templates put fitment notes, part numbers and item specifics near the top of every listing, where parts buyers look before they buy. We build them in clean HTML that eBay accepts, brand your eBay store to match and show you a free preview first.
Why it matters
A parts buyer wants to know the part fits before much else matters. eBay answers the first half of that question with the compatibility chart it builds from the vehicles you attach to a listing, and with the green “Fits” check it shows buyers who have saved their vehicle in My Garage. Your title, item specifics and description answer the rest: which side of the car, which engine, what comes in the box and what happens if it doesn’t fit.
An automotive eBay template is the designed description inside each listing. Ours start with a short fitment summary and the part number, then lay out condition, contents, install notes, warranty, shipping and returns in the same order on every item. Repeat buyers, such as a mechanic ordering for a shop, learn where to look.
Powersports listings need the same discipline with different details. A motorcycle exhaust needs the model years and any jetting or tuning note, an ATV plastics kit needs color and mounting hardware, and a helmet needs sizing and certification. We design each layout around the questions your buyers send most.
Frannie Kline founded OC Designs Online in 2005, and our family-owned team in New Jersey has designed eBay stores and listing templates for parts sellers ever since, from one-person garages to Pep Boys and 4 Wheel Parts. The templates are written in HTML and CSS only, with no scripts, so eBay accepts them on new listings and revisions.
Tell us about your storeWhat you get
A short block with the vehicles, years and positions the part fits, plus a pointer to eBay’s compatibility chart for the full list.
Manufacturer, OE and interchange numbers near the top, matching your item specifics, so buyers can cross-check before they message you.
Condition, what’s in the box, install notes, warranty, shipping and returns in the same order on every listing, stacking cleanly on phones.
A billboard, logo, featured items and store categories by make, model or part type, so buyers can keep shopping your parts.
We put the template on your existing listings, so sales history, watchers and the compatibility you already entered stay in place.
Set up in eBay’s listing form or the software you list from, with fill-in fields your team can use on thousands of SKUs.
HTML and CSS only, secure (HTTPS) images, and links only where eBay allows them.
You see one of your own parts in the new design before you commit, and ask for changes until it is right.

Listing X-ray
Buyers decide in seconds whether a seller looks trustworthy. A branded template answers their questions before they ask (returns, shipping, condition, who you are) and keeps them browsing your other items.

eBay parts compatibility
eBay splits fitment across several parts of a listing. Most of it is data you enter; the template is where you explain it in words.
| Part of the listing | What eBay does with it | What the template adds |
|---|---|---|
| Compatibility chart | You attach the years, makes, models, trims and engines a part fits, from eBay’s vehicle lists (motorcycles and ATVs have their own powersports list). A listing can hold up to 1,000 or 3,000 vehicles, depending on the category, and eBay says fitment listings get a boost in Best Match search. | A short summary of the main vehicles and years, with a pointer to the full chart |
| Compatibility notes | An optional note on each vehicle row, used for placement on the vehicle or vehicle type. | The same limits in plain words, so a front-only or engine-specific part isn’t missed |
| Catalog product (ePID) | In Car & Truck Parts, matching an eBay catalog product by brand, part number or GTIN fills in the vehicles for you and updates them, for example when a new model year arrives. | Part numbers written exactly as they appear in the catalog match |
| Fitment Plus Auto (since October 2025) | eBay adds compatible vehicles from its own database when a listing has a brand and part number. Sellers are enrolled automatically and can opt out in Motors Selling Preferences. | Brand and part number repeated near the top, in the same form as the item specifics |
| Item specifics | Brand is required to match items to buyers, and certain Car & Truck categories require a manufacturer part number. Fitment typed only into the description may not be surfaced in search. | The key specifics repeated for the buyer; the template never replaces them |
| My Garage and Guaranteed Fit | Buyers save their vehicle and search for parts that fit. Under eBay Guaranteed Fit, launched in February 2023, eBay covers the return and refunds the buyer when a covered part doesn’t fit. Tires and wheels are excluded. | A returns summary that matches the policy set in your listing |

Section by section
This is the order we start from for most parts listings. Every section answers a question buyers otherwise send as a message, and we adjust it to your catalog.
| Section | What buyers look for | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Header | Who they are buying from | Your logo, a short line about your shop and links to your store categories |
| Fitment summary | Whether it fits their vehicle | “Fits 2015 to 2020 Ford F-150, front left. See the compatibility chart for every trim and engine.” |
| Part numbers | A number to check against their old part or catalog | Manufacturer part number, OE number and interchange numbers, the same ones as in item specifics |
| Condition | Exactly what “used” or “remanufactured” means here | Mileage on the donor vehicle, wear, missing tabs, and whether a core charge applies |
| What’s in the box | Whether they need to buy anything else | Hardware, gaskets, brackets or instructions included, and what is not |
| Install notes | Whether they can fit it themselves | Bolt-on or modification, tools needed, and whether programming or a tune is required |
| Warranty and returns | What happens if it is wrong or fails | Your warranty length and a short summary of the return policy set in the listing |
| Shipping | When it arrives and how big the box is | Handling time, carrier, freight for large items, and a pickup option if you offer one |
Time for a new template?
These are the problems parts sellers describe when they call us, and what a new template changes about each one.
| What you notice | Why it happens | What the new template does |
|---|---|---|
| Buyers message “will this fit my…?” on listings that already have a compatibility chart | The fitment summary is buried, or there isn’t one | Puts a short fitment summary and the part number above everything else |
| Returns marked “doesn’t fit” or “wrong part” | Position, engine or trim limits sit in a paragraph buyers skim past | Gives fitment notes their own block, matched to the notes in your compatibility chart |
| eBay shows a “Disallowed JavaScript/HTML Syntax” error when you revise | An older template still carries scripts, tabs or a vehicle look-up widget | Replaces the code with HTML and CSS that eBay accepts |
| The description falls apart on a phone | Fixed widths and small text built for desktop screens | A single-column layout made for phones first and checked in the eBay app |
| Every staff member writes listings differently | There is no shared structure to fill in | Fill-in fields that keep the same order across thousands of SKUs |
| Your eBay store and listings look like two different shops | They were designed at different times, or not at all | The billboard, store categories and every listing designed together |

Our portfolio covers most corners of the parts business, and each one changes what the template has to make room for.

How our projects workIt is the designed description area inside an eBay parts listing. It puts your branding, a fitment summary and the part numbers at the top, then condition, contents, install notes, warranty, shipping and returns in the same order on every listing, written in HTML and CSS that eBay accepts.
It can repeat it, and it should. eBay builds the compatibility chart from the vehicles you attach to the listing, and fitment typed only into the description may not be surfaced in search. Our templates add a short fitment summary with the main vehicles, positions and part numbers, and point buyers to the full chart.
No. A template changes only the item description. Your compatible vehicles, item specifics, titles, photos, sales history and watchers stay as they are when we apply it to your existing listings.
It is eBay’s purchase protection for parts and accessories, launched in February 2023. When a covered part bought for a vehicle doesn’t fit, eBay covers the return and the buyer gets a full refund. It depends on accurate compatibility in the listing, and tires and wheels are excluded.
Brand comes first, because eBay requires it to match items to buyers, and certain Car & Truck categories also require the manufacturer part number. After that, OE and interchange numbers, placement on the vehicle and condition answer the questions buyers check most.
Yes. eBay keeps a separate powersports vehicle list for motorcycle and ATV parts, and the listing needs different details: model years, sizing for helmets and gear, colors for plastics and the hardware included. We have designed eBay stores and templates for motorcycle, ATV and UTV sellers for years.
Not as a drop-down search. That needs scripts, and eBay has banned active content in listings since June 2017. On eBay, buyers search by vehicle through My Garage and the compatibility chart, and a template can still link to your store categories by make and model. We build Make/Model/Year search for your own BigCommerce or Shopify store.
Yes. We update the descriptions of your existing listings through your listing tool or your eBay account, so nothing is relisted, and we set the template up so new listings go out in the same design.
Yes. We set the template up in the software your team lists parts from, such as Sellercloud, SureDone, Solid Commerce, ChannelAdvisor (Rithum) or 3Dsellers, or in eBay’s own listing form, and test it there with fill-in fields that work on every SKU.
A premade template is usually live within a few business days. A custom template takes about three to four weeks: a free mock-up in 5 to 7 business days, revision rounds of 3 to 5 business days, and installation within 7 to 10 business days of approval.
A premade automotive template suits a smaller parts seller who wants a professional look quickly. A custom template suits a brand or a large catalog that needs its own fitment layout, a matching eBay store and the same design on every listing.
Yes. We design the billboard, logo, featured items and store categories by make, model or part type, so a buyer who lands on one part can keep shopping your catalog. Most parts clients take the store and the template together.
